We are a boutique interior design studio, focused on bespoke projects, taking on just a few at a time, in order to be able to dedicate our full attention and creativity to each and every one.

We are attracted to historic buildings and love to revive and restore them as a whole or just pieces, but we appreciate and enjoy to compliment good new architecture with our interior design (and vice-versa).

Our approach blends two principles:

Democratic Luxury, emphasizing the beauty found in details, materials,
execution and meaning rather than solely relying on expensive choices

In our view, perfect projects consist in a well balanced mix of mindful choices, reasonably adjusting the emphasis from form to function or function to form, depending on your priorities.

Slow Design, exploring undervalued materials, re-framing the familiar or the unfamiliar, revealing potential meanings of existing resources, restoring buildings and objects, up-cycling, considering and aligning to the context where the space is located, choosing NOW the LATER beauty of maturation and aging, creating spaces that evolve and not become obsolete in function or aesthetics, engaging local artists, artisans and knowledge.

Both principles are inter-tangled in all our existing projects and our design DNA.

• We have more than 12 years experience as designers, researchers and project managers, mainly in spaces in historic buildings.

 

• While our design principles above may include the word "slow", we make promised deadlines our priority and do everything to meet every single one.

 

• We understand budgets and you'll have a very clear image of the entire investment value of the project before you start spending, thus being able to evaluate, plan, decide, control and fine tune your resources during the project.

 

• We design for the future and not for the trends. We aim to help you achieve a long-term investment, and not an expense. Our choices prioritize quality, longevity and timelessness in function and aesthetics.
